The performance premiered at Mudam combines text, gestures, sound and costumes to create a complex and symbolically charged work exploring male-dominated street subcultures andthe anxieties of young people. Created over an extended rehearsal period, four young men from Moscow with no background in the performing arts under go an intensive programme designed to address their experiences of anxiety whilst exploring the boundaries of self-awareness and introspection.
Our organism body-mind learns to find its own way to
explore its own nature and its being in the world. Nothing is fixed or routine.
What can be discovered, what can be find in our basic pattern of lying,
sitting and standing. Spontaneous mindfulness that illuminates inner
connections. We are immersed in it deeply aware. The mystery of life is right
here - we meet the very ground that supports us, our own natural pathways of
breathing.
The sensory awareness is explored in the context of self-discovery and openness. Each performer is both the student and the subject matter and the underlying goal is to discover the inner transformation. (RU)
